How Do I Lucid Dream?

The whole point of sleeping is so your conscious mind is off (the one you make decisions with). Lucid dreaming allows you to make decisions meaning your concious mind is on so you need to go to some weird in between of awake and asleep. Too much decisions will mean you're pretty much awake so it's a really gray area of discussion.

Lucid Dreaming

The best method to master it is to try it just after you woke up before you do any movements, before opening your eyes, moving your arms, etc...
try to feel a mobile phone in your left hand, then try to rotate it in your hand (in your thoughts, without real moving), you will start feeling it, then try to jump or roll "out of your body", you will start feeling strong vibrations in your body and then you will get into your lucid dream...

Here are some steps offered by eHow.com.
1 : Discover what your dream signs are. Are there any repetitive themes or items that appear in your dreams? For example: I often have dreams involving school buses.

2: Reality check. Every time you see one of these dream signs in your waking life, ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?" If I were to see a school bus, I would pause and reality check myself. The point of a reality check is to bring yourself into consciousness if you are in a dream. If you are dreaming, you may reality check yourself, and answer "Yes, I am dreaming." You have potential to become fully conscious and lucid.

3 : Exercise the ability to recognize obscure dream signs. Obscure signs are signs that can only occur while someone is dreaming. Some obscure signs include: flying, being in two places at once, feeling no pain, and interacting with deceased loved ones. If you are able to recognize these signs, you may be able to become lucid.

4 :Keep a dream journal. Journals are used to help individuals remember their dreams. What is the point in lucid dreaming if you can't remember the experience? Write down everything you can remember when you wake up.

5 : Wake-back-to-bed. Go to bed tired and wake up five to six hours afterwards. Stay awake for about an hour and then try to recognize dream signs and use reality checks as you drift back to sleep. When you fall back asleep, you should be in REM cycle. Lucid dreams occur during REM cycles.
